About J Chris Campbell
J. Chris is a graphic designer and illustrator toiling in the visual fields for 20 years. He is a Greenville native who earned a B.S. in Marketing (with a minor in art) at Winthrop University.
He encourages children to grow their imaginations by teaching classes at the Fine Art Center, Greenville and Anderson county libraries, Greenville County Schools, the Children’s Museum of the Upstate and organizations throughout the Upstate.
Chris has published more than 85 different titles through his own Wide Awake Press, assembling thousands of books by hand. Yes, most of them were pretty decent. He is also the creator of Zig Zag, a nationally distributed comic book published by AdHouse Books. He is an active member of Berea Station Events, which is a nonprofit that promotes community and neighborhood development.
He enjoys watching movies with family and friends.
